What does it look like for a family photographer to be fully present? This is something we ask ourselves in a day and age where photos so easily look like they come off of an assembly line. Our passion with your family is to be intentional, all-involved, and whole-heartedly invested. We care so deeply about capturing these memories for you all the while giving you a fun, joy-filled, wonderful experience.
High School Seniors
Our favorite sessions are our high school seniors. From the first planning session our emphasis is making a snapshot of who these young people are just before they step off into their next chapter of life. Something they will cherish more in 20 years than they maybe do now. Something for their parents can have memories of
Children
Challenging yes, but oh wow do we love to photograph these little ones as they grow up. Many of our Baby Plan clients come back year and year on their birthdays, which is so rewarding both for us and for their parents. We strive to make beautiful art pieces that you can display forever.

Pets
Jody grew up owning and riding horses. She was immersed in long distance 25 mile competitive rides for awhile. She's always had dogs, owns four of them presently and her mother raised Abyssinian cats and sold them around the world.
Small Weddings & Reunions
For many years Hillside Studio photographed large weddings averaging about 10 per year. Now those days are behind us and we've decided to let the younger photographers spend those long hard days. If you are planning a small wedding, please give us a call.
Farm & Rural Living
Tara Hagemann, Jody's daughter is a big part of Hillside Studio's success. She's responsible for the artwork, retouching, and ordering for every Hillside Studio customer. She also frequently helps with sessions. Her passion is capturing farm life. Here's her awesome website: Muddy Boots & Whiskers.
